If you're looking for fine art and furniture whether it be something practical or decorative to embellish a house, or maybe a unique gift there's something for all tastes at two great locations in Bridport.
Firstly, the Bridport Antiques Centre in West Street stocks a wealth of fine art, furniture, silverware and interesting smalls – the kind of quality you rarely see in many of today’s antiques centres. With an assortment of cabinets displaying lots of treasures to catch your eye, including antique glass and silver ornaments to vintage jewellery, militaria, Victorian kitchenalia and curious oddities! They also have a gallery section with oils, watercolours and prints plus some exquisite 19th Century textiles including an English Paisley Shawl in perfect condition.
Secondly, there is the Alleyways Antiques Centre on St Michael’s Trading Estate, which has over 50 traders under one roof where the constantly changing stock means there is always something new and interesting. The addition of a couple of new traders has widened the range even further with furniture from Belgium, industrial reclaim, period furniture and Ammonite Gallery with its unique pictures, beautiful clothing and jewellery.
Finally, from April until October is the unmissable Bridport Vintage Market held on the last Sunday of every month. The market hosts a wide array of antique, retro and vintage dealers, traders and market stalls. Visitors can browse through the stands and enjoy some delicious food and refreshment in the Red Brick Café.
If you’re interested in hiring a unit in either of the Bridport centres, then give Richard or Sam a call on 01308 425111 or 07971 237065 for further information – they’re a great bunch of people to work with!
