Experience the nostalgic sights and sounds of an era when steam and world class engineering powered the country! When you visit the Vintage & Steam Show, you can enjoy all the bustle and excitement of a traditional steam festival, with fantastic full size and miniature steam engines on display and working around the museum’s fascinating 40 acre site in the South Downs National Park, which also contains wonderful buildings rescued from throughout south-east England and artefacts from architectural and agricultural history.
In addition to steam engines, you can see a wide range of other exhibits including commercial vehicles, classic cars, model boats, and much more. It’s a real family-friendly event. A popular attraction are the beautiful steam-powered ‘gallopers’, which will be at the centre of a small traditional vintage fairground, which will delight both adults and children alike.
The atmosphere is wonderful, with vintage music, local crafts and traditional demonstrations, plus arena displays throughout the weekend and the whole museum to explore.
