THE HUGELY SUCCESSFUL number one jive and swing band, The Jive Aces are holding their 15th annual charity festival on the 4th of August, kicking off at 2pm.
The Jive Aces have been going from strength to strength with over five million You-Tube views and half a dozen international music and charity awards, and have worked with some of the top names in show business. They were the first live band to reach the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent which apparently put a smile on Simon Cowell’s face!
Summertime Swing was rated in the top three vintage festivals by the Sunday Telegraph, and
this year they have another great line-up to captivate the visitors: International jazz singer and
BBC Radio 2 presenter Clare Teal and Peter Donegan – son of the legendary skiffle trend setter Lonnie Donegan; Peter is hot from his duet with Tom Jones on ITV’s The Voice. And last but not least, is West End voice of the year, and Carole King favourite, Miss Cassidy Janson!
There will be over 40 classic cars on display, vintage clothes stalls, a raffle, food stalls and as always a colossal dance-floor to keep dancers on their feet for five hours of cheerful lively, upbeat jive and swing music. All of this is in aid of charities which include the Not Forgotten Association and local charities in East Grinstead. Ian Clarkson of the Jive Aces comments: “We love organising Summertime Swing! It’s such an atmospheric and unforgettable fun day! Last year we raised over £20,000 for our chosen charities.
We had 1,800 people and are expecting 2,000 this year. The natural outdoors setting in 100 acres of Saint Hill Manor is just magical. We are always blessed with great weather. We feel that our contribution to help the local charities is important and we hope to set a good example.” jiveaces.com
