IF YOU FANCY spending the weekend in wartime Britain, then this atmospheric event is a must! The entire Black Country Living Museum, set across 26- acres of recreated period shops and houses, will be transformed as vintage vehicles, 1940s civilians and army personnel fill the streets.

Get a real feel for daily life as you soak up the wartime atmosphere. Stroll through memorabilia markets filled to the brim with vintage fashion and wares, meet 1940s characters and even prepare yourself with an evacuee lesson in St James’ school.

The weekend will feature a host of wartime variety shows, austerity-busting ‘make do and mend’ demonstrations, street performers and more. The streets will be filled with wartime vehicles, from classic cars to military icons all adding to the authentic feel of the event. Discover the extraordinary contribution of the wartime fire engines and look to the skies to witness the spectacular RAF flypast!

The spirit continues into the night in a separate event on Saturday evening – so don your best wartime fashions and dance the night away to live bands who’ll fill the cobbled streets with the sweet sounds of the 40s! Tickets for the daytime and evening event are available on the website now.
